The University of Windsor offers a $10,000 financial award to support students significantly affected by global conflict, helping them continue their studies despite financial challenges. This bursary is designed for both domestic and international students, full-time or part-time, who demonstrate financial need, good academic standing, and active community or campus involvement. Eligibility Criteria - Open to current University of Windsor students from any country (domestic or international) - Full-time or part-time enrollment status - Must be in good academic standing - Demonstrated good citizenship through community and/or campus involvement - Students must have been significantly impacted by a global conflict, affecting their ability to continue studies - Consent to the Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU) Consent and Notice of Disclosure statement is required Award Details - Value: $10,000 per award - Number of Awards: 10 for the 2024-25 academic year - Funded jointly by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU) and the University of Windsor - May be held concurrently with other university or donor-sponsored awards Application Process - Applications open August 1 and close October 15 (application window may be extended, but early application is encouraged due to limited funding) - Apply through UWinsite Student by logging in and completing the Award Profile Form: 1. Complete profile questions 2. Review the populated list of available awards 3. Apply to the award if eligible - Applicants must submit a personal statement describing: - How they have been impacted by a global conflict - Their academic achievements - Their community or campus involvement - How the scholarship will assist with their financial and academic goals This scholarship provides vital financial support for students facing extraordinary challenges due to global conflicts. Eligible levels: 3-Year Bachelor's Degree, 4-Year Bachelor's Degree, Integrated Masters, Post-Secondary Certificate, Top-up Degree, Undergraduate Advanced Diploma, Undergraduate Diploma Eligible nationalities: All nationalities (unless noted in description)
