The International Study Centre Undergraduate Progression Scholarship at Cardiff University offers substantial tuition fee discounts for international students progressing from the International Study Centre (ISC) onto eligible undergraduate degree programmes. This scholarship supports academic excellence and helps reduce financial barriers for self-funded students starting their studies in the 2026/27 academic year. Eligibility Criteria To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must: - Successfully complete their Cardiff University ISC programme (International Foundation Year or International Year One) in the 2025/26 academic year. - Be classified as an international student for fee-paying purposes. - Be self-financed without receiving non-repayable funding from other sources (educational loans are permitted). - Hold an offer for an eligible full-time undergraduate degree programme at Cardiff University commencing in September 2026. - Meet all conditions of their Cardiff University offer by 7 September 2026. - Note: Undergraduate programmes in the Schools of Dentistry, Medicine, and Healthcare are excluded. Scholarship Value and Conditions The scholarship is awarded as a tuition fee discount applied annually for up to four years of study: - £2,000 per year for ISC International Foundation Year and International Year One students upon successful progression. - £3,000 per year for ISC International Foundation Year students achieving an overall grade of 75% or higher. - £3,000 per year for ISC International Year One students achieving an overall grade of 70% or higher. Additional important conditions include: - The scholarship cannot be used to cover deposit payments and has no cash alternative. - It applies only to full-time, Cardiff campus-based taught programmes and excludes placement, year in industry, or study abroad years. - Students receiving other scholarships, bursaries, or funding covering tuition fees are not eligible. - The scholarship is only available to students who maintain their fee status as overseas (international) students. - If a student defers entry, the scholarship may be transferable upon request while the scheme remains available. - Funding is limited to a maximum of four years even if the programme duration exceeds this. - The scholarship cannot fund repeat years or transfers to non-eligible programmes after enrolment. - Students must meet UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) financial requirements independently of the scholarship. Application Process No separate application is required. Eligible students holding an offer for a qualifying Cardiff University undergraduate programme will be automatically awarded the scholarship upon enrolment, provided all criteria are met. This scholarship is an excellent opportunity for international students completing their ISC pathway to receive financial support and continue their academic journey at Cardiff University. Check your eligibility and prepare to apply now for entry in September 2026.
