Students can take six courses in the major foundational subject areas of business administration. These courses comprise the first year of Thompson Rivers University 's two-year MBA program and ensures students have the skills to succeed in the MBA level. Graduate Diploma in Business Administration ensures all students have the foundational knowledge and skills needed to be successful at the MBA level. Students may be exempted from one or more of the six courses in the MBA Foundation depending on their educational background. Once the program is successfully completed, students can advance to Thompson Rivers University 's MBA. Business graduates will generally receive advanced standing for all six courses and can begin their MBA studies immediately.
