The dance program is constructed to help students meet the rigorous demands of a professional career in dance and to provide a strong artistic foundation and practical experience. Beginning with the first semester, students enroll in courses taught by academically and professionally experienced faculty. The dance concentration offers an array of dance styles and performance opportunities. Modern, jazz, ballet and tap are offered from beginning to professional levels. Other courses include composition, improvisation, pedagogy, history, music analysis, dancer health and repertory performance.
