The Bachelor of Education program is designed for future educators wanting to teach students in a variety of educational institutions, including K to 12 schools. The curriculum offers a general approach to various subjects and teaching methods students will use in elementary and middle years classrooms. Students will specialize in two teaching areas, Early Years stream and Middle Years stream, to concentrate their expertise in specific subjects. The subject areas are closely aligned with the Saskatchewan pre-Kindergarten to grade 12 curriculum areas: Arts education English language arts Indigenous studies Mathematics Modern languages Physical education Science Social sciences / social studies The Middle Years stream of the Bachelor of Education program develops teacher candidate expertise in instruction and designing high quality learning environments for learners in Grade 4 to Grade 8 classrooms.
