The University of Buckingham is the only independent university in the UK with a Royal Charter, and probably the smallest with around 2,700 students. Honours degrees are achieved in two intensive years of study. We keep class sizes small, with a student:academic staff ratio of 10.4:1 and the Oxbridge style tutorial groups are often personalised and always exhilarating. The real basis of the University of Buckingham’s success has been its staff and, above all, students. The University of Buckingham offers London-based research Master’s degrees in a number of humanities subjects as part of the Humanities Research Institute. These give students the opportunity to develop their research skills and interests, supervised by expert scholars, and be part of their growing academic community. Why the University of Buckingham - London Campus Unique Masters Programs: Seminars are held in London and delivered by renowned experts. Students have the opportunity to explore a diverse range of topics and opportunities. Students undertaking these programmes will have the opportunity to take part in study trips to Paris, Florence and various British country houses. Facilities: London-based students, will have 24 hour access to the Gower Street office, including library resources and computers, as well as full student access to the Buckingham campus.
