The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) has been serving students in the capital region of Canada for over one hundred years. The OCDSB provides international students with the opportunity to choose an educational path that best suits their interests and goals. Students can choose to come to Ottawa to graduate from high school or for a shorter period of study to improve their English and cultural competency. The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) is part of the government of Ontario's public school system and serves over 73,000 students within the City of Ottawa. The OCDSB is the largest school board in the National Capital Region and offers students a world of choice for education, growth, and achievement. Approximately 80 percent of OCDSB graduates enter post-secondary institutions. OCDSB students have distinguished themselves at colleges and universities throughout Canada and around the world. The OCDSB schools offer a wide range of programs to promote learning excellence and that meet the individual needs of students. Why Ottawa-Carleton District School Board Student Activities : Ottawa International Student Program offers students exciting trips and activities throughout the school year. Location : Serving the National Capital Region, the Ottawa-Carleton School District is ideally situated for students who are looking for an exciting and active learning environment in which to study. A cosmopolitan yet surprisingly intimate G8 capital, Ottawa is a place where students can immerse themselves in Canadian culture, embrace and enjoy the great outdoors, even in the heart of the city, join the celebration at year-round festivals and events, and shop and dine in a relaxed urban setting of distinctive neighbourhoods and districts. Student Support : The Academic Advisor provides ongoing support to international students with course registration, university applications, academic issues, TOEFL or CAEL preparation. Students can communicate with the Academic Advisor by phone or e-mail. The International Student Program office staff are available to answer inquiries and assist students with issues regarding application procedures, study permit renewal, immigration, immunization and other general inquiries. Note: There is a $400 application fee for this school that is lumped in with the Tuition Deposit payment. If the student chooses to cancel or withdraw their application, they will NOT be refunded the $400 application fee to the school and are still responsible for paying this fee to the school.
