Founded in 1960, New Westminster Secondary School (NWSS) offers outstanding opportunities for students of all backgrounds. As the sole high school in New Westminster, it is today home to close to 2,000 students in Grades 9-12 and is one of the largest high schools in British Columbia. NWSS is proud of its diversity and that is reflected in an array of educational programs and services as it strives to meet the needs of all learners. Facilities: New Westminster's facilities include five computer labs (including ones for Internet and multimedia), four gymnasiums, a full-service cafeteria, a large sports field, and a 1,260-seat professional theatre, along with specialized classrooms for sciences, art, music, technology, and industrial arts.
