Louis Riel School Division (LRSD) is a school district in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Cana​da. The school division is named after Louis Riel, who was a political figure in the history of Manitoba. Louis Riel lived from 1844-1885 and was involved in the Founding of the Province of Manitoba. Today there are more than 14,000 students who receive modern, quality education in many subject areas, taught in either English or French – or both! The division consists of 40 schools, including eight high schools. It has more than 1,500 professional and teaching staff and also offers accredited post-secondary education through the Arts and Technology Centre in a number of different programs. The International Student Program (ISP) offered at LRSD schools is accredited and a member of Imagine Canada, CAPS-I and MCIE.
