About

CU Scarborough's state-of-the-art, purpose-built campus opened in September 2016. Students at CU Scarborough have access to all the facilities they need to support their studies and student life, all located in a modern, open-plan campus. At CU Scarborough, there is an emphasis on high levels of support for students, who are taught in small classes and have weekly tutorials in groups of no more than 5. Furthermore, international students have access to English lessons throughout the academic year as opposed to solely pre-sessional offered at comparing institutions. Tutors are also on hand for any additional support students may require. CU Scarborough is continuously expanding its courses, which means its building is ever-changing. The new £50m sport and education campus, which also features the Scarborough Sports Village and Flamingo Land Football Stadium, is home to the Scarborough Athletic Football Club. September 2018 saw the first cohort of Adult Nursing students begin their degree in the new clinical-skills lab and in September 2019 a brand new drama studio was opened to accommodate Acting students. CU Scarborough has gone from housing just 17 students in 2015, to over 600 students in 2019 and they are not stopping there! Why CU Scarborough Flexible Start Dates and Small Class Sizes: CU Scarborough aims to makes higher education accessible for international students by offering competitively-priced courses with numerous intakes throughout the year, small class sizes for higher levels of support, and ongoing English language support. Highly-ranked University: Shortlisted for University of the Year - The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021. Teaching Excellence: Awarded Gold for Teaching and Learning Excellence by the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) 2017. Focus on Employability: CU Scarborough students are taught by lecturers who are experts in their field, making them career-ready with the skills to succeed upon graduation. 97% are employed or enrolled in further study within 6 months of graduation (DLHE survey, UG UK, 2016/17). Location: Scarborough is located on the beautiful North Yorkshire Coast with stunning scenery and glorious beaches. The growing town is rich with history and celebrates a wide variety of cultural and recreational activities (including festivals for surfing, science fiction, jazz music and more), making it a great student town for getting involved with the local community.
