About

College of the North Atlantic (CNA) is Newfoundland and Labrador’s (NL) public college – one of the largest post-secondary educational and skills training centres in Atlantic Canada, with a history dating back over 55 years. Today, College of the North Atlantic has 17 campus locations, which include facilities throughout Newfoundland and Labrador; thousands of students studying at various partner universities in China; and, a technical education college for the State of Qatar in the Middle East. In NL, CNA has over 100 full-time program offerings for approximately 9,000 students each year. CNA continues to have the lowest tuition fees of any post-secondary institution in Atlantic Canada. CNA offers an impressive world-class, nationally accredited range of programming that meets the highest demands of industry; transferability opportunities that promote continuing education at home and abroad; research and development leadership in the community and regional innovation; and, precedent-setting international partnerships. Why College of the North Atlantic Campus: The Burin campus of College of the North Atlantic is located on the east coast of Newfoundland on Placentia Bay. The historic town of Burin has approximately 2,500 residents. Burin's goal is to not only produce graduates who are highly competent, knowledgeable, and ultimately successful in their chosen field, but also to produce graduates who have found, happy, and lasting memories of their educational experience. Facilities: The Campus houses a gymnasium, cafeteria, learning commons, and a residence. The residence, Donahue House, is located on the College grounds and is connected to the Campus. Hands-on experience: Many of College of the North Atlantic's programs offer field opportunities where students can apply what they've learned in the classroom to the community.
