About

The New Brunswick International Student Program (NBISP) welcomes students between the ages of 11 and 18 from all points of the globe. Its English school system offers an impressive variety of programs and up-to-date classroom technology. The NBISP is managed through Atlantic Education International Inc. AEI was created in 1997 by the province of New Brunswick to deliver real education opportunities to the world community through the Department of Education. New Brunswick communities offer a safe, friendly, and healthy learning environment. The cost of living is lower than most other areas of the country, and tuition fees are competitive without sacrificing the quality of education. New Brunswick also has the best high school graduation rate in Canada. As the country’s only officially bilingual province (English and French), New Brunswick has built a dynamic world-class reputation for language learning. Since 1998, over 2000 students have participated in Atlantic Education International’s study abroad programs in New Brunswick. Host schools, families, and communities from every corner of the province look forward to sharing their warm hospitality with all future participants! Why Atlantic Education International's New Brunswick International Student Program Personalized approach: Atlantic Education International's coordinators work closely with partner agents and host schools to organize all aspects of the program, and to make sure each student and host family is well matched. From pre-arrival information, meeting students at the airport, and consistent follow-up throughout the program, Atlantic Education International's personalized approach ensures the safety and well being of each student. Curriculum: All schools in New Brunswick follow a standardized curriculum set by the New Brunswick Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. Courses are taught under the careful supervision of qualified teachers all of whom are certified by the Department. Many teachers have post-graduate degrees and are published authors in education. Activities: The international students are encouraged to be highly involved in the numerous activities that are available at both the school and community level. The balance between school and community activities may vary to a degree depending on school and community size. In addition to the ongoing activities within the schools and communities, separate activities are organized exclusively for NBISP students to allow them to experience the culture and geography of the Province. These activities may include such things as ice skating, whale watching, or visits to historical settlements, to name a few of the options. Please note : This is a program directed only to students travelling on their own. Because of this, they will be matched with a host family and placed at a school within one of the 4 Anglophone School Districts of New Brunswick (North, South, East, or West).
