Alexander Academy

Alexander Academy is a professional learning community that follows a holistic approach to education. Each student’s journey is unique and the staff at Alexander Academy go out of their way to find and nurture each student’s individual abilities. Alexander Academy provides a safe, caring, internationally-minded environment, and a curriculum that encompasses action, service, academics, arts, and healthy living. Why Alexander Academy Location: Alexander Academy is located in the center of downtown Vancouver, one block South of the Waterfront Station on Hastings Street. The Vancouver campus is steps away from the major shopping and entertainment districts, as well as major tourist attractions and the Vancouver waterfront. Extracurricular clubs: Every student at Alexander Academy is required to be involved in at least one extracurricular club. Examples of clubs offered in the past are Yoga, Soccer, Art, Fitness, Euclid, Anime, Photography, Martial Arts, French, Swordsmanship, Dance, Ping Pong, Yearbook Club, and more. Students decide on which clubs will be available for the school year during the annual Clubs Fair Day, and ideas for new clubs are strongly encouraged! House system: The house system at Alexander Academy is a vibrant and integral aspect of the school’s culture. The house system is designed to enhance the values of Alexander Academy as they are reflected in the character of each of the house leaders. The house system aims to help new staff and students adapt to the culture of Alexander Academy while giving students a sense of pride in a supportive and safe environment.
