The Vice-Chancellor International Excellence Scholarship at Charles Sturt University offers a 50% tuition fee reduction for outstanding new international students commencing in 2026. This scholarship rewards academic excellence and community involvement, supporting students studying on-campus at various Charles Sturt locations. Eligibility Criteria - Open to new international students commencing in 2026 at Charles Sturt University campuses in Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Melbourne, Orange, Port Macquarie, Sydney, or Wagga Wagga. - Must be enrolled in an approved course offered on-campus (internal mode). - Applicants must have achieved an academic entry score of 80% or higher in previous studies. - Not available for continuing, transferring, online mode, international exchange, or study abroad students. - Applicants must hold an unconditional offer for their course. - Must demonstrate community involvement and alignment with Charles Sturt University values through essays and supporting evidence. Eligible Courses The scholarship covers a wide range of disciplines including but not limited to: - Agricultural and Wine Sciences (e.g., Bachelor of Agricultural Science, Master of Agricultural Science) - Allied Health (Bachelor of Paramedicine) - Engineering (Bachelor of Engineering Honours) - Environmental Science and Outdoor Recreation - Nursing, Midwifery, and Indigenous Health - Pharmacy (Bachelor of Pharmacy) - Radiography (Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science specialisations) - Rehabilitation and Complimentary Therapies (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy) - Business and Accounting (Bachelor and Master degrees) - Communication (Bachelor with specialisations) - Information Technology and Computing (Bachelor, Graduate Diploma, Master) - Psychology (Bachelor of Psychology, Bachelor of Social Science Psychology) Scholarship Value - 50% reduction on tuition fees for the entire duration of the eligible course. Application Requirements Applicants must submit: - A personal statement (max 250 words) explaining their motivation for choosing their degree and why they deserve the scholarship. - An essay outlining community involvement and leadership experience (max 250 words) with supporting evidence. - An additional essay (max 500 words) describing how they exemplify Charles Sturt values and plan to engage with the university community. Exclusions and Conditions - Not available for students studying online or at Charles Sturt’s international partner institutions. - Not available for students holding Australia Awards or Research Training Program (RTP) scholarships. - Recipients cannot hold other Charles Sturt-funded tuition fee scholarships simultaneously. Application Process and Deadline - Applications open now and close at 11:59pm on 30 June 2026. - Applicants must apply online through the scholarship application portal before commencing their first week of study. - Applicants will receive email confirmation upon successful submission. Selection Process - Applications are assessed by Charles Sturt Global Engagement staff and a senior panel. - Separate assessment pools exist for main campuses and Sydney/Melbourne campuses. - There is no appeals process.
