The International Diversity Merit Scholarship offers a 30% fee discount for the duration of the course to new commencing international students studying on-campus at selected Charles Sturt University campuses. This scholarship supports academic excellence and diversity by providing significant financial assistance to eligible international students from specified countries. Eligibility Criteria - Applicant status: New commencing international students only (no continuing or transferring students). - Study mode: Internal/on-campus study at one of these campuses: Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Melbourne, Orange, Port Macquarie, Sydney, or Wagga Wagga. - Nationality: Applicants must hold a passport from one of the approved countries across Africa, Latin America, Europe, Middle East, Central Asia, North Asia, Pacific, and Southeast Asia. Dual nationals are eligible if one nationality is on the approved list. - Academic requirements: - Allied Health courses (except Nursing): minimum 85% equivalent Australian Year 12 score. - Other eligible undergraduate degrees: minimum 75% equivalent Australian Year 12 score. - Eligible postgraduate degrees: minimum 65% in equivalent Australian undergraduate degree. Approved Courses Eligible undergraduate and postgraduate courses include a wide range of disciplines such as Accounting, Agricultural Science, Business, Communication, Engineering, Nursing, Medical Radiation Science, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, and various professional and specialized postgraduate degrees. Exclusions - Online mode students. - Students at Charles Sturt University’s international partner institutions. - International exchange and study abroad students. - Recipients of Australia Awards or Research Training Program (RTP) scholarships. - Continuing students (only new students are eligible). - Students awarded this scholarship cannot receive other Charles Sturt-funded tuition fee scholarships simultaneously. Scholarship Value and Conditions - Value: 30% tuition fee discount for the entire duration of the eligible course. - The scholarship amount is deducted from tuition fees at the start of each session. - Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic progress and continuous enrolment; failure to do so may result in suspension or termination of the scholarship. - Recipients are expected to actively participate in the student community and may be asked to provide testimonials or participate in promotional activities. - Scholarship offers can be deferred to a future intake. - Scholarships will be terminated if the student withdraws, is excluded, transfers to another university, or fails to maintain satisfactory grades over a prolonged period.
