Scholarship Value and Renewal - Award Amount: $8,000 per academic year ($4,000 for fall semester and $4,000 for spring semester) - Renewable: Up to three additional academic years (maximum of four consecutive years) - Renewal Criteria: - Maintain a Southeast Missouri State University cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher - Complete 24 credit hours at Southeast each academic year (summer hours may count) - Students who do not meet the renewal criteria but qualify for the International Achievement Award will receive that award instead. Eligibility Requirements To qualify for the International Academic Excellence Award, applicants must meet the following: - High School GPA: Minimum of 3.75 - English Proficiency or Standardized Test Scores: Applicants must meet one of the following based on their high school location: If high school was completed in a country where Southeast Missouri State University requires an English proficiency test: - IELTS Academic: 6.5 or higher - TOEFL iBT: 79 or higher - iTEP: 3.9 or higher - PTE Academic: 53 or higher - Duolingo English Test: 110 or higher If high school was completed in a country where Southeast Missouri State University does not require an English proficiency test: - ACT score: 27 or higher - SAT score (ERW + Math): 1280 or higher Note: The English proficiency or ACT/SAT test score requirement is waived if the applicant has completed one of the following qualifications in an English-only curriculum country where no English test is required: - O-levels (Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel, or Zimsec) - International Baccalaureate (IB) - West African Examination Council (WAEC) - GPA evaluation for scholarship consideration is based on the highest level of education completed at the time of application.
