The Master’s Accelerator Program (MAP) is a two-semester program exclusively offered to aspirational international students. MAP students benefit from wrap-around support and language for discipline-specific purposes. The curriculum will include advanced writing, public speaking and research instruction; each course is designed to help ensure students' success at Adelphi. The small class sizes, hands-on and interactive programs and unique curriculum are designed to help them progress seamlessly into their master’s degree program. With a M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), students will be qualified to teach English around the world or at a university. Adelphi’s graduate level TESOL or bilingual program prepares students to meet the demands of diverse communities. Their studies will focus on interconnected theories, practices, and understandings related to the awareness of gender, race, faith, class, and ability in children. This degree is available only as a non-certification track. Students will not receive a New York State certification upon completion.
