The Master of Science by Research in Media Geographies allows students to undertake a year-long program of personally and professionally enriching research, supervised by Swansea University's Human Geography academic staff. The media geographies research project will be shaped by participation in research activities such as seminars and reading groups, as well as students' involvement in one of Swansea's established Human Geography research groups. The range of the current human geographical research in this area includes: Cinematic cities: cities in film and filming in cities Digital geographies and locative media Climate Change and the media The geopolitics of ‘fake news’ Literary geographies: graphic novels and the urban experience Geography of the performing arts: dance and theatre Virtual spaces and mediated places
