The Department of Biological Sciences offers the Master of Science degree. The M.S. program is designed to prepare students to pursue active careers in teaching, research, or further graduate studies. Students have the option to choose between the thesis option, which is recommended for those considering future research or graduate activities, or the non-thesis option, which is recommended for those considering a career in teaching or industry. In the thesis option, students must find a faculty member willing to mentor them and guide their thesis research project. Non-thesis students will be mentored by the graduate studies coordinator.
