Program Description In the two-year master's degree program in apparel product development and merchandising technology at Central Michigan University students will gain hands-on experience working on the cutting edge of fashion. Through a creative and collaborative approach to the study of apparel and textiles, the primary goal is to provide students with top-notch research experiences – from concept development to retail distribution using advanced knowledge and creativity in design, production, merchandising and technology. Graduates will be prepared for executive-level positions in apparel and textile product development and merchandising, CAD technology, industry research and development and careers in higher education and government. This program also is appropriate for individuals seeking further graduate study at the doctorate level.
