Program Description The Master's in Counseling: Addiction program at Central Michigan University prepares students who wish to qualify for addiction counseling careers and become licensed professional counselors and certified advanced addiction counselors. Students will gain knowledge and experience in research, testing procedures, career development, consulting, counseling theories, ethics, techniques and philosophy. Elective hours will allow the individual student to gain additional knowledge and experience in areas of particular interest.
