Landscape architects are responsible for designing traditional spaces such as parks, campuses, gardens, commercial centers, transportation corridors, and waterfront developments. They also work on restoring natural areas disturbed by human activity, revitalizing post-disaster sites, and redeveloping urban landscapes. Collaborating with architects, city planners, civil engineers, and other professionals, landscape architects play a crucial role in shaping our society by envisioning and creating new environments. The Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture at Louisiana State University has a strong international reputation as one of the top-ranked programs in America. Offering Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and Master of Landscape Architecture programs, the school has a history of producing skilled professionals who contribute to the field worldwide. Emphasizing creativity and practical design skills, the school provides students with a comprehensive education in landscape architecture. The curriculum for the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture program spans five years and 159 credit hours, focusing on enhancing students’ understanding of environment and structures while fostering creativity through various design courses and lectures.
