Program Description Are you interested in health issues and the treatment and prevention of disease? Have you considered a career as a pharmacist? This course is an ideal first step towards a pharmaceutical career. It examines the science behind the preparation, supply and monitoring of medicines. You'll study law, ethics, dispensing practice, the role of hospitals, community, GP practice, care home and industrial pharmacists. Working alongside other future healthcare professionals, you'll talk to patients about their conditions and treatment. Through case studies, you'll learn how chemistry, pharmacology and pharmaceutics affect clinical practice. In Year 4 you'll complete a research-based project, for which you'll receive specialist tuition.
