Program Description Extended Accelerator Program (EAP) combines language, culture and academics to give students a deep understanding of life in and out of the American classroom and includes personalized English-language instruction and tutoring. As a student in the Extended Accelerator, you’ll get: A contextual curriculum that mixes language, culture and academics Exclusive access to a course focusing on life in the U.S. and in the local community A full year’s worth of college credits Extensive English-language tutoring, academic advising and student support Personalized English-language support specific to the classes you take At UIC, Students in Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship program gain knowledge of business planning, financing, marketing, management, information technology and consulting. Students will learn how to apply this knowledge to new ventures, small enterprises and family businesses. With an entrepreneurship degree, students will have the skills and knowledge to: Evaluate and write business venture plans Identify and screen potential entrepreneurial opportunities Analyze economic conditions Unravel the legal issues (establishing partnerships, incorporating, issuing IPOs, etc.) Consult with business owners Take the reins at a family business Create and manage e-commerce companies To support its students to success, UIC Business Department partners with startup hubs, connects students with internships, and runs the Illinois Small Business Development Center right here under its own roof. The Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies hosts an annual Startup Challenge, and offers innovation incubators, business plan support, and many other resources that put its students on the fast track to starting their own businesses.
