Program Description The Extended Accelerator Program (EAP) is a three-semester program for students seeking an immersive English-learning experience. The program gives students firsthand practical and cultural understanding of the UDayton campus and Dayton area through its contextual curriculum. Upon completion of the program, students progress into the second year of their undergraduate education with a full year’s worth of academic credits. As an Extended Accelerator student at UDayton Global you'll receive: An immersive educational experience with a contextual curriculum bridging language, culture and academics. Live, Learn, Grow is a unique course designed for international students that will deepen your working knowledge of life in the United States and give you a comprehensive understanding of the local community and region. Bolster your academic achievement with English-language instruction, tutoring, academic advising and student support. Benefit from personalized English-language instruction that’s fully contextual—for example, lab-specific English-language instruction alongside your lab-inclusive science course. Students in the Theatre, Dance, and Performance Technology Program discover who they are, affirm their values, aspire to be better, and seek solutions. Our program allows students to play "what if?" in the face of "who cares?" They engage in collaborative, creative inquiry that reminds them what it is to be human, to be flawed, to be transformed. The theatre is the site of embodied democracy, where entertainment entertains emergent ideas - because we all have stories to tell. This program provides four theoretical and practical concentrations: Acting Applied Theatre Dance Performance Technology All of these concentrations are informed by a Marianist tradition of community engagement and social justice. With co-curricular, interdisciplinary, and experiential learning at the heart of the curriculum, performers and technicians learn by doing, serving and creating. They develop their character, find their light and lead.
