The field of engineering is generally associated with finding solutions for real world problems in an analytical fashion using the math, science and problem-solving skills. As a chemical engineer, students will be skilled in the development, design, construction, and operation of industrial plants in which natural resources are transferred into useful products. Additionally, students will be involved in the manufacture of such commodities as synthetic fibers, plastics, fertilizers, detergents, salts, foods, pharmaceuticals, resins, petroleum products, and pulp and paper. The Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program at Lakehead University is designed to prepare students for a successful career in the business world. The primary goals of the program are to develop the analytical decision-making and communication skills and to expand their knowledge of effective management practice while instilling a professional and responsible attitude toward business.
