The Direct Master’s Accelerator Program is a one-semester program designed specifically for international students with an advanced level of English language proficiency, but who also want the academic, cultural, and professional support to thrive in their graduate program at Auburn. Students will earn a semester’s worth of credits toward their graduate degree, as well as benefit from additional professional and research courses tailored to their needs as international students. The goal of the Polymer and Fiber Engineering program is to bring together industry and university researchers in collaboration to generate, facilitate and exchange fundamental and applied knowledge on topics of high relevance to the polymer and composites industries. Students in the MS program enroll in course work covering core courses in polymer chemistry, polymer processing, structure and properties of polymers and polymer characterization. They further enroll in specialized courses beneficial to their research, such as mechanics of flexible structures, composite materials, biopolymers, and fiber and film formation.
