This two-year program is designed to equip students with the technical and professional skills needed to work in a wide range of healthcare settings. After successfully completing the first three semesters and meeting the required GPA, students may choose between a Medical Simulation course or a Field Placement option, which typically involves two days per week in a healthcare setting. The program is accredited by the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA), indicating that it meets industry standards established through consultation and ongoing evaluation by the Canadian College of Health Information Management.
