Program Description The Energy Systems Engineering Technician program will equip the students with the essential skills to understand various energy resources and their uses in modern society. This college diploma program will educate students with a unique blend of theory and hands-on skills that are highly sought after in modern sustainable energy related companies and industries. During the period of studies, students will have the opportunity to work in Centennial College's state-of-the-art energy systems labs and participate in applied research and development projects that will promote innovative skills. The construction industry, meanwhile, has adopted a host of new green building initiatives that are quickly increasing the awareness and use of sustainable and integrated architecture and engineering practices for new buildings. Manufacturers also have many new products that provide ways to implement advanced energy management in commercial and residential structures. The challenges and opportunities that arise in this applied science program will come from learning how to integrate and use all of these modern sustainable energy technologies in a manner consistent with urban environments.
