The Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees program is designed to provide students with the core knowledge, skills, and abilities that are fundamental to academic success in health sciences and other related programs at the advanced diploma or degree level. Students develop their knowledge and skills in writing and research, mathematics, human anatomy, biology, and organic/inorganic chemistry, preparing them for the demands of their next academic program. Students have access to extensive hands-on, laboratory-based learning experiences in preparation for post-secondary level science programs. They also have the opportunity to explore potential careers in science and health science fields and identify post-secondary programs that align with their goals. This is a two-semester certificate-level program leading to an Ontario College Certificate. The Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees program may be a good fit for students who need to improve their grades or complete key science courses to qualify for their desired college or university program. It is also well suited for those who have been out of school for some time and want to refresh their academic skills before returning to the classroom. Additionally, the program supports students seeking to build a strong foundation to enhance their chances of success in a competitive health sciences program.
