Program Description TROY’s Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in global business and a concentration in risk management and insurance highlights the importance of risk management within the context of a global business framework. Our program will offer you opportunities to obtain proficiency in risk management and insurance concepts as they are applied to servicing both commercial and personal insurance needs. As a RMI student, you’ll gain industry-specific knowledge that will make you marketable and well-qualified for jobs in this industry. Our coursework is closely aligned with both the Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance (ASLI) and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) professional designations. You’ll be able to work toward these and other designations while at TROY. Behind the scenes, our seasoned and experienced faculty work with many different organizations to find our students scholarships and internships that provide a valuable way for them to gain experience and learn about different job opportunities. As a graduate of our program, you’ll find yourself well prepared for careers working with both the personal and commercial lines of insurance in the admitted market and also the excess and surplus (E&S) lines market. TROY is home of one of the few programs in the country that allows a student to focus on the E&S market. E&S insurance provides risk transfer solutions for risks that are unique, distressed or require large capacity. Professionals in the industry creatively design insurance products for some of the world’s largest and most unique risks.
