Catalog description
Explore human behavior in our BPS-accredited Psychology degree at Nottingham Trent University. Tailor your studies and apply now for a rewarding career!
Program Description This British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited Psychology degree explores the secrets of what makes people human, what it means to be alive, and why people behave in the ways they do. This course covers all the core areas of Psychology stipulated by the British Psychological Society (BPS) curriculum. Students will explore the human being; the workings of the brain; the processes and mechanisms of human thinking, feeling and behaviour; and how psychologists, psychological research and therapy can make a tangible and positive difference to people's lives and society. Students can tailor their learning experience – with a range of optional modules and pathways, they can pursue their own interests and begin to shape their learning towards further study and/or a particular career. At the end of the first year, students can choose to specialise in either mental health or forensic or educational and developmental psychology by choosing a specialist pathway. Students will have the chance to tailor-make their studies by choosing options from a unique range of modules in their final year. Please be advised that this program includes a sandwich year, which will be studied during the student's undergraduate degree.
