Program Description The UK is the world’s prominent financial centre. Government figures show financial and insurance services contributed £119 billion. in gross value added (GVA) to the UK economy in 2017 – 6.5% of the UK’s total – with half of this accounted for in London. Our Financial Economics course provides a specialist focus on financial systems, such as the role of banks and the operation of stock markets, both here in the UK and within an international context.
