Program Description Electrical Engineering is the profession that deals with the design and analysis of electrical and electronic devices and systems. This branch of engineering covers many diverse areas, including electrical power generation and distribution, the design and fabrication of electronic semiconductor devices, and the creation of components and systems for consumer, medical, telecommunications, and many other applications. Graduates with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering may engage in the analysis, modeling, simulation, design, testing, manufacturing, or field services of electrical, electronic, or magnetic equipment. They may also engage in the operation and maintenance of facilities for electrical power generation or telecommunication. High technology companies employ electrical engineers in the fields of electronic and computer manufacturing, as well as in power generation and communications.
