Students will study in the five high-demand concentration areas of embedded systems, robotics, biomedical instrumentation, wireless communications and modern energy systems. State University of New York at Oswego's ECE program prepares students for successful careers in engineering or related professional disciplines, or the successful pursuit of graduate studies with contributions to improving society and the global community. Students can join prestigious engineering societies — such as the IEEE (Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers, ACM (Association for Computing Machinery), SWE (Society of Women Engineers) and others — to network with other students and professionals. Extracurricular activities include participation in special-interest student clubs in robotics, power systems, telecommunications and others, as well as participation in academic student competitions. The Bachelor of Science - Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET – the global accreditor of college and university programs in applied and natural science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology.
