The Bachelor of Science Education - Social Science degree program prepares students to become secondary social studies educators in graduates who earn their teaching license become certified to teach United States History, World History, Arkansas History, African-American History, American Government, World Geography, Economics, Sociology, and Psychology. The program includes a semester-long teaching internship in the secondary schools under the supervision of the program director. Many graduates continue their education with a Master of Arts in History degree or an Master of Science Education both of which are accessible to teachers by offering courses via distance education.
