Program Description The study of dietetics teaches you to use nutrition in the prevention and treatment of diseases such as coronary heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, cancer, diabetes and obesity. All of these are linked to what we put into our bodies. With an environment distinguished by supportive faculty and small class sizes, CMU prepares you to become a registered dietitian. Research, group work and involvement with the Student Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics enhance your experiences. An internship prepares you for careers in hospitals, schools, health care facilities and private industry. Some students choose to attend graduate school.​​
