Program Description Saint Leo University offers a minor in education for students in other majors who may want to teach at the secondary level, but for whom teaching is not their first career choice. The minor is not recommended for students who plan to become certified teachers in K-12 classrooms, because it does not offer the same marketability or extensive professional preparation as the education major. Students wishing to major in biology who plan to teach may consider pursuing a double major in Biology and Education or an Education major with a specialization in Biology.
