The Agricultural Communications and Leadership degree prepares students to begin professional careers in industrial, governmental and consultant capacities as public relations specialists, agricultural journalists, sales representatives, marketing managers and social media coordinators. Because of the extensive and integrated nature of the curriculum, students in this program are prepared for a wide range of careers within agriculture, education and other relevant areas of society and the economy. The Ag industry surrounds the campus for many miles and is the heart of the regional economy offering students an ideal setting to pursue a career in agriculture. Vibrant relationships with industry provide critical support for SMSU Ag programs in many ways including scholarships and sharing expertise through volunteerism.
