Join the LLB program at the University of Law in Bristol! Gain practical skills for a successful legal career. Apply now for international student support!
Program Description The law degree, known as an LLB or Bachelor of Laws, is equivalent to a BA or BSc. This degree is perfect for students whose career aspiration is to be a solicitor or barrister in the UK as it will mean students are prepared in part for the new Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE1) or to progress onto the Bar Practice Course (if they wish to qualify as a barrister). And if students have set their sights on a career in politics, business or journalism, the transferable skills they will learn on the law degree will give them an excellent launch pad for these ambitions and more. With a professionally focused qualification, students can expect to learn practical skills coupled with a focus on their future employability. The LLB law course will also offer students the flexibility to specialise more and more as they progress to focus on what interests them, with opportunities to study anything from Business Law to International Law. Students can expect something different to the traditional three year Bachelor of Laws degree when they study the LLB. Over 90% of the University of Law's tutors are qualified solicitors, barristers and judges so students will learn to apply law and learn the most relevant and practical skills that employers are looking for. The University of Law has designed the LLB to be the first truly professional undergraduate law degree. Studying law is the start to a wide, varied and exciting legal career. It offers more diversity than almost any other profession, whether students want to be a company secretary, a solicitor, a paralegal or a high court judge. It is also one of the best qualifications for going on to succeed in other careers. Students can find University of Law graduates working in politics, journalism, business, HR and finance and more all over the world.
