At Cape Breton University, the Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management (BHTM) degree is a three-year program that combines tourism and hospitality, business education and the opportunity to augment a specialty area with elective courses. This blended approach to the program, in conjunction with two paid internships, prepares students for a position in this multifaceted industry. From event planning and management, to service training and hands-on learning, this program provides students with the opportunity to get up close and personal. The Tuition Deposit Policy will take effect for all applicants starting with the January 2024 application. Students who receive an offer to study at Cape Breton University will be required to make a nonrefundable tuition deposit of a minimum of $2,500 to confirm their seat in the program . If a student does not confirm their seat, CBU cannot guarantee a spot will be available at registration time.
