Program Description The Consecutive Teacher Education program (Bachelor of Education) is available to individuals with a completed degree. Upon successful completion of the program, teacher candidates are normally recommended to the Ontario College of Teachers for membership and to receive their Ontario Certificate of Qualification. Each of the initial teacher education programs is field-oriented and based on an approach which is unique in Ontario — the Triple-C Model. A beginning teacher’s professional growth occurs under the careful guidance of Practicum Advisors, Practicum Instructors, and Associate Teachers in schools throughout the Niagara and Hamilton regions and beyond. Brock offers Consecutive Teacher Education programs for those wanting to teach Primary/Junior or Grades K-6 (P/J), Junior/Intermediate or Grades 4-10 (J/I) and Intermediate/Senior or Grades 7-12 (I/S). Brock offers the following teachables (subjects offered each year may vary). Intermediate/Senior teachable subjects include: Dramatic Arts, English – First Language, French as a Second Language, Geography, History, Mathematics, Health and Physical Education, Science — Biology, Science –Chemistry, Science — General, Science — Physics and Visual Arts.
