Catalog description
Launch your career in Arts & Entertainment Management in NYC! Gain essential skills and industry contacts. Apply now for the BBA program!
There's no business like show business, and with a Lubin BBA in Arts and Entertainment Management, students will gain the skills they need to succeed in the industry. Pace leverages their proximity to Broadway, major broadcast networks and film studios, not-for-profit arts and cultural organizations, and media companies to provide an inside look at the inner-workings of show business, and combine this proximity with a cutting-edge curriculum taught by accomplished faculty. Students get the preparation they need to manage talent, theatre companies, museums, dance companies, music organizations, art galleries, television production firms, and more. This program leverages Pace's location in New York City and industry contacts to bring in stellar guest lecturers. The program prepares students to analyze and respond as a manager to factors shaping the industry by offering a strong business core that focuses on financial reporting, operations planning, staff scheduling, organizational development, and the process for policy development. Students will get the skill set they need as a manager in this industry. Learn to analyze and respond as a manager to factors including changing laws, technological changes, union activities, cultural issues, and domestic and international trends. Students will have the opportunity to start building their resume right on campus by joining the Arts and Entertainment Industry Network, a student organization that hosts weekly meetings, including employer spotlights, industry panels, and workshops.
