Sociology is a global and vital discipline. As a Sociology student at Bradford they’ll analyze and understand the social world with depth and conviction. Through linking theory with the real world, they are encouraged to apply their sociological knowledge to social contexts whether they are related to inequality, the state, crime, difference, securitization and mass media, or those every day, taken-for-granted features of life which seem less important, such as consumption, taste and the performance of our identities. The course will therefore give them opportunities to explore and analyze the nature of diverse societies, and develop informed insights into the challenges facing a globalized and interconnected world.
