Program Description The Associate of Arts Degree for Future Professional Pilots is a program for students who wish to continue to a career in the aviation industry. This program is jointly offered with Professional Flight Centre, located at Boundary Bay Airport in Delta. Douglas College provides the academic instruction leading to the Associate of Arts Degree and Professional Flight Centre provides the ground and flying instruction with enough flight experience to obtain a Commercial Pilot License and Multi-engine Instrument Rating. These two distinct and separate components together provide students with the foundation needed in the aviation industry. Students need to apply to both Douglas College and the Professional Flight Center. If wanting to move into a bachelor's degree, students can apply all the credits they get from this program to transfer to a Bachelor of Arts program at another institution. Note: Students will need to apply to and enroll at "The Professional Flight Centre" school in Delta, BC where students will obtain their Commercial Pilot License and Multi-engine Instrument Rating. Students will be required to already have or obtain the their Private Pilot's license. Total cost of flight training will be an additional $50,000-55,000. The Associate of Arts portion at Douglas College consists of 60 credits of University Transfer courses which are mainly offered within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The recommended courses have relevance to the aviation industry. Students graduate with an Associate of Arts degree. Note: Campus location may vary between years depending on program availability.
