The Academic Accelerator Program (AAP) is a balanced first-year program designed for international students with strong English-language skills. This curriculum is designed to prepare students for professional careers in the interconnected and global textile and apparel industries. Students will focus on the design, development, and marketing of textile and apparel products, and are encouraged to develop a comprehensive problem-solving perspective through a synthesis of concepts, coursework, and practical experiences. Students can choose to concentrate in Textile Science, where they will learn about the art and science of textile production and development, including materials, processes, and technologies utilized in the modern industry. Potential career paths for graduates of the Textile Science concentration include roles such as Apparel Designer, Costume Designer, Fashion Merchandiser, Materials Specialist, Product Development Scientist, Retail Distribution Manager, and Textiles Expert.
