The Academic Accelerator Program (AAP) is a balanced first-year program for international students with strong English-language skills. It provides additional support to immersive classes taught in English to ensure students’ success. Students enrolled in the Academic Accelerator Program will benefit from: Tailored support for academic and English-language needs A full year’s worth of college credits Access to courses designed specifically for international students Assistance with English language terms relevant to their coursework A diverse range of classes with both international and U.S. students The plant and soil systems curriculum integrates the study of agronomy, entomology, horticulture, plant pathology, and crop physiology. Students in this program will take core courses that lay the foundation for specialization in one of the following concentrations: Agricultural Pest Management (Entomology) Agricultural Pest Management (Plant Pathology) Crop Science Horticultural Sciences Environmental Horticulture Soil Science Sustainable Production Systems Turf and Landscape Management Turfgrass Management Landscape Management Urban Entomology The urban entomology concentration is ideal for students interested in urban pest control, mosquito control, public health insect management, and forensic entomology for criminal justice.
