The Academic Accelerator Program (AAP) is a balanced first-year program designed for international students with proficient English-language skills. It complements immersive classes taught in English with appropriate support tailored to individual needs. Students enrolled in the Academic Accelerator Program will benefit from: Customized support to meet academic and English-speaking requirements A full year’s worth of college credits Access to courses exclusively designed for international students Assistance with English vocabulary essential for coursework A diverse mix of classes with both international and U.S. students The School of Nutrition and Food Sciences offers a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Sciences program. This undergraduate curriculum integrates the fields of Nutritional Sciences and Food Science and Technology. Students in this program will take core courses that lay the foundation for specialization in one of four concentrations: Dietetics Nutritional Sciences/Pre-Medical Nutrition, Health, and Society Food Science and Technology Each concentration provides students with a professional sequence in their chosen area of specialization, along with required supporting courses in basic sciences and a broad general education. Graduates are equipped to pursue careers in various fields such as dietetics, medicine, public health, business, education, research, or the food industry. The Nutritional Sciences/Pre-Medical concentration offers students a solid understanding of nutritional sciences while fulfilling the coursework prerequisites for those planning to apply to medical, dental, or graduate school. Given the significant role of nutrition in preventing and treating various health conditions, pre-medical students can benefit greatly from understanding the impact of nutrients on the body as they prepare for their medical careers.
