The Academic Accelerator Program (AAP) is a balanced first-year program for international students with strong English-language skills. It complements immersive classes taught in English with appropriate support. As a student in the Academic Accelerator, individuals will receive: Adequate support for academic and English-speaking needs A full year’s worth of college credits Access to courses exclusively for international students English-language assistance with essential vocabulary for classes A blend of classes with both international and U.S. students The Department of Biological Sciences offers a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with concentrations in Marine Biology and Secondary Education (Geaux Teach). The degree curricula are designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of biological sciences concepts and methodologies, as well as the opportunity for more specialized studies in specific areas.
