The Academic Accelerator Program (AAP) is a balanced first-year program for international students with good English-language skills. It supplements immersive classes taught in English with just the right amount of support. Students in the Academic Accelerator receive: The appropriate level of support for their academic and English-speaking needs A full year’s worth of college credits Access to courses exclusively for international students English-language assistance with terminology needed for classes A mix of classes with international and U.S. students Athletic Training is an allied medical profession in the United States. Athletic trainers supervise and administer services for the prevention, recognition, management, and rehabilitation of injuries incurred by athletes. The Louisiana State University’s Athletic Training Department has a diverse staff, including approximately 30 students in the Athletic Training Student core. This diversity in educational backgrounds has contributed to the department’s reputation as one of the best staffs to work with. The Louisiana State University Athletic Training Department is dedicated to providing outstanding student-athletes with top-notch treatment and rehabilitation using state-of-the-art equipment. Students in the program gain experience in injury prevention, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. The Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training program at LSU is highly regarded in Louisiana, and graduates go on to successful careers in secondary schools, colleges and universities, professional sports programs, sports medicine clinics, physician clinics, and more.
